Glock 43x Upgrades and Accessories: Improving Accuracy and Performance

Featured in:

I’d venture to say that the Glock 43X is the best concealed carry gun in the Glock lineup. Enhancing the accuracy and performance of your Glock 43x is a worthy pursuit. Add the following Glock 43x upgrades and accessories, and you’ve got yourself the ultimate concealed carry gun.

The Glock 43x is a popular model for concealed carry with it’s slim slide and respectable capacity of 10 rounds.

Glock 43X Upgrades

There is no shortage of aftermarket Glock 43x accessories and upgrades, but there are a few that I feel are necessary: the sights, a match barrel, and a high-capacity metal magazine. Beyond that, you can add a compensator, if you have a threaded barrel for the Glock 43X. Check out these options.

You can do a few things to a pistol to stretch the effective distance out to 50 yards and beyond. A match barrel is one of them.

  • Straight Fluted
  • 1/10 Barrel Twist Rate
  • Stress Relieved 416-R Stainless Steel
  • Chameleon PVD Finish
  • 11-degree Target Crown
  • Conventional Rifling

Faxon Firearms has been impressing the industry with its barrel expertise for a while now. Their match-grade barrels for the Glock 43X are no exception.

The Faxon match barrel drops right in without any fitting needed, and the lockup is noticeably tighter than the OEM barrel. The combination of the tighter lockup, 1:10 conventional rifling, and 11-degree target crown makes for a clean shooting and very accurate Glock 43X.

This Glock 43x barrel is extremely accurate, and with the different coating options, you can get the look you want; because looking cool does matter.

Faxon Firearms EXOS Compensator

The Faxon EXOS Pistol Compensator is one of the best comps on the market for the Glock 43X handgun. Granted it’s not the only player in town, its design, ease of installation, and performance have put the competition on its heels.

  • Length: 1.218″
  • Width: .865″
  • Height: 1.269″
  • Weight: .05lbs
  • Thread: 1/2×28

The angled port design allows gas to deflect upwards as opposed to only deflecting to the sides, reducing the up-and-down muzzle movement and improving the overall accuracy of the Glock 43x.

The Faxon EXOS Pistol Compensator for Glock 43X/48 is designed to fit flush with the slide and has been optimized for Faxon pistol barrels.

The EXOS is specifically engineered to function effectively with a wide range of factory-loaded ammunition, resulting in a notable decrease in the upward movement of the firearm’s muzzle, typically ranging from 13% to 27% when using 115gr ammunition.

In the case of the G43, there is a significant 73% reduction in the upward flip of the muzzle when compared to using no additional muzzle device, or a 27% reduction in muzzle flip overall. As for the G43x and G48, they exhibit an 87% reduction in muzzle flip compared to the average compensator’s performance, or a 13% reduction compared to other similar products on the market.

In the past, some individuals have expressed concerns about using compensators affecting the reliability of the slide cycling correctly. To address this issue, some users have opted to enhance the performance of their pistols by upgrading the recoil springs as a way to “compensate” for any potential drawbacks.

Our team conducted thorough testing of various ammunition options, including 115-grain, 124-grain, and 147-grain loads, in conjunction with the Faxon EXOS compensator.

The outcome of these tests was highly favorable. One particular recommendation for those seeking an excellent starting point would be to consider utilizing 124-grain NATO FMJ loads for range and practice sessions.

These rounds are specifically designed to deliver gas pressure equivalent to +P loads, making them ideal for training purposes.

When it comes to self-defense ammunition, there is a wide array of options to choose from, particularly in the realm of 124-grain Jacketed Hollow Point (JHP) loads, which are readily available in today’s market.

Glock 43X Sights | Night Fision Tritium Sights

Night Fision is one of the oldest Tritium license holders in the United States and knows a thing or two about working with Tritium. Their Tritium night sights are some of the most technologically advanced sights on the market for handguns. So what makes the Night Fision Tritium night sights stand out from others on the market?

To start they use a ballistic polymer cup. Many other companies use only a painted ring or small cap. The ballistic polymer cup is made from the same material as bulletproof glass.

Additionally, the ballistic polymer cup material is given a fluorescent color. Inside the ballistic polymer cup sits a custom-made Tritium vial. That Tritium vial has 30% more gas pressure than any other night sight on the market. Pressure is what makes the Tritium bright. The higher the pressure, the brighter the gas becomes.

Next, the ballistic polymer cup and custom Tritium vial is injected into a 4140 metal body that is coated with a black nitride finish. All this attention to detail ensures their sights are the brightest available.

Night Fision guarantees the sights for life never to chip, crack, fade, or fall out. Pretty sure these sights will survive an end-of-the-world apocalypse.

If you’re running a Glock 43X MOS with an optic, Night Fision has you covered with their Optics Ready Stealth Night Sight Set.

Glock 43X Accessories

If your Glock 43X is the MOS configuration, you’ll want to add a red dot and weapon-light. These are standard recommendations, though the market offers plenty of options. And, of course you need a quality, reliable holster.

Red Dot: Shield RMSc

The Glock 43X MOS has a non-standard MOS footprint, which means some popular optics will require a little extra effort for compatibility. The Shield RMSc, however, mounts directly to the MOS slide without the need of an adaptor plate. Constructed with aerospace-grade aluminum and a prallax-free polymer lense, it’s capable of handling intense shock impact.

The Shield RMSc is the original compact mini sight for slimline pistols.

Features

  • Parallax Free
  • One 3V Lithium Battery, Cr2032
  • Housing Material: Aluminum
  • Compatible With Night Vision
  • Dimensions, 1.7 X 0.9 X 0.9

Weapon-Light: Streamlight TLR7 Sub

The Glock Slim Mounting rail allows for the mounting of a weapon light, and The Streamlight TLR-7 Sub is a great choice. It offers 500 Lumens, a 140 meter beam, and a 1.5 hour run time.

The TLR-7 Sub weapon-light is lightweight and securely attaches to the Glock 43X MOS.
