A short video with a few tips on car accident preparedness. Potentially preventing a minor fender bender or police traffic from growing into something more than it has to be. With a few index cards prepared in advance and knowing what to do, we may be able to keep a bad incident from becoming worse.
I start the video by talking about the money I saved this year by shopping for a better deal on homeowners and auto insurance. It was unnecessary and unrelated to accident preparedness, but I was excited to share the savings.
Car Accident Preparedness Kit
I’ve prepared several index cards that I keep in each of our vehicles geared toward a minor fender bender or traffic stop. These cards are part of my minor fender bender and car accident preparedness kit.
The idea here is to:
- gain as much information as needed without giving away too much of your personal information to a complete stranger.
- serve as a reminder of what not to say in a traffic accident.
- have everything prepared in advance in order to limit stress when adrenaline and emotions are high.
Check out the car registration and insurance card holder(Aff) I’m using, but as I mentioned, a simple envelope and piece of paper will work just as well.
Don’t forget your pen.
