Nothing shoots as pinpoint quite as easily as a full-size rimfire pistol. While there are plenty of bull-barreled semi-autos to choose from, the alternative is a medium-frame revolver. The Ruger GP100 and Smith & Wesson 617 are two compelling ten-shot options, but Colt is back and better than ever with their own take: the Colt King Cobra 22.
Initially debuted as a 4.25 inch and 6 inch model in 2023, the King Cobra 22 family now includes a 2 inch snub-nose and 3 inch compact model. All sport durable stainless steel construction, a full under lugged barrel, and a vent rib not seen on the new .357 Magnum version of the King Cobra. Best of all, this miniaturized Python sports amongst the best rimfire pistol triggers out there. At least, that is the opinion of our own Jim Maybrick, who put the 2 inch snubbie and 4.25 inch standard model through their paces.
