Steiner Releases ATLAS Multi-Emitter Aiming System to Military, LE, and Civilian Markets

Steiner’s new ATLAS laser aiming system is now shipping, offering a five-emitter architecture, ambidextrous controls, and a rugged magnesium housing built for professional use.

Steiner Optics has formally released its ATLAS (Advanced Tactical Laser Aiming System), a compact multi-emitter aiming and illumination device designed for military units, law enforcement, security teams, and civilian shooters. The ATLAS expands Steiner’s eOptics lineup with a platform built for real-time mission adaptation, supporting everything from indoor work to extended-range target identification.

The system incorporates five emitters—a visible laser, a near-infrared laser, a long-range VCSEL illuminator, and two NIR LED illuminators for mid- and close-range use. All aiming lasers and illuminators share a single set of windage/elevation adjusters, allowing users to establish and retain zero without additional alignment steps.

Beam profiles cover the full engagement spectrum:

  • 0.5 mrad visible and IR laser divergence for long-range precision
  • 40°–50° fixed NIR LED flood for CQB
  • 10°–15° mid-range LED for general illumination
  • 2°–3° VCSEL long-range beam with reduced speckle for cleaner illumination at a distance

Steiner designed the ATLAS around a low-profile, bolt-on integrated mount that keeps the unit close to the rail for compatibility with common optics. Controls include a five-position mode selector and three dedicated buttons for activation, power, and illuminator choice. All controls are centered and raised for ambidextrous use and gloved operation.

The housing is constructed from magnesium alloy, reducing the weight to under 7 ounces with the battery installed. Despite its weight savings, the ATLAS is built to professional durability standards and is waterproof to 20 meters for two hours. Power comes from a single CR123A cell, with runtime exceeding 3 hours, depending on the mode.

  • Three power output modes (high/medium/low)
  • One-click illuminator adjustment system
  • Integrated MIL-STD-1913 bolt mount
  • Operating range of –40°C to +65°C
  • Optional remote switch and full windage/elevation adjustability

The ATLAS is available in black or flat dark earth, and Steiner notes the system is designed, machined, and assembled in the United States.
