[SHOT 2026] CZ 75 Legend

Featured in:

While attending SHOT Show 2026 and cruising the firing lines of Industry Day at the Range, we came across a familiar – but new looking – CZ handgun that we couldn’t quite put our finger on (metaphorically – of course we shot it). What it ended up being was an originally designed CZ Model 75 with slight, modern enhancements while retaining an ethos for the past. This new offering is called the CZ 75 Legend 9mm!

CZ 75 Legend

The CZ 75 Legend looks like a true throwback to the past with its iconic plastic grips and its overall aesthetic styling. If you don’t have an appreciation for older model handguns, you actually might have missed it in their booth as it was unassumingly amongst all of their newer and more modern firearms.

CZ liked to define this pistol as: “earning the status of a legend takes more than excellence. You have to be far ahead of your time. You have to be ‘one of a kind,’ a true pioneer. And that’s exactly what the CZ 75 was – and still is.”

When we were talking to CZ about the new CZ 75 Legend, they did not have a hard MSRP pinned down at this time, but they stated it would land in the ballpark of $1,000 to $1,500. That is quite a range, but this is as much a good shooter as it is a collector’s item. So, the target market of shooter who may be buying this handgun likely won’t be buying it to shoot thousands of rounds through it; rather, it will be a conversation piece that might get taken to the range once in awhile – if, at all.

While shooting this pistol with some others on the staff of TTAG, we noted that this pistol did have an insanely nice trigger. One that was so nice we thought it could rival the quality of a Shadow 2 or other CZ handguns that are significantly more expensive than this one. So, you never know. Maybe the CZ 75 Legend will be an everyday shooter for some folks. As always, let us know all of your thoughts about CZ and their new 75 Legend in the Comments below! We always appreciate your feedback.
